Showgroup

Girls wanting to participate in JAZZ IT UP's showgroup class must speak to Miss Jazz first as this is an elite dance class which includes 2 hours per week, eisteddfods throughout the year and outfit costs.

Showgroup dancers will represent JAZZ IT UP at approximately 4 local eisteddfods yearly and have the opportunity to perform at many different events throughout the year.

Girls MUST attend 2 classes weekly-
- SHOWGROUP lesson (compulsory)
- FUNK
- JAZZ AND TAP or
- MODERN/CONTEMPORARY

Girls who would like to participate in more than 2 classes weekly are more than welcome, the more classes girls attend then the better dancer they will become. The more classes students attend, the more class fees will be discounted at JAZZ IT UP!

Funk

Funk classes are energetic and fun allowing girls to learn the newest modern styles of jazz and hip-hop.

Modern/Contemporary

This class incorporates fundamentals of contemporary dance in a lyrical based class. Incorporating flexibility and strength, this class improves co-ordination and involves a more soft and slow feel to dance.

Jazz & Tap

Our JAZZ and TAP classes are a combination of the two styles which allows dancers to learn techniques from both styles. Half an hour of Jazz dancing and Half an Hour of tap. Girls will also have the opportunity to participate in TAP exams.

Dance Acro

Students are taught the basics of acrobatics in a fun and energetic class. Students will learn basic steps, tricks and work on strength and flexibility to gradually work their way up to more advanced acrobatic movements. This class is taught in our studio with gymnastics mats allowing for the safest environment for our students.

Boys Funk

This class is designed for boys only. This is a great class for boys to learn the hippest moves incorporating tricks and dance combinations.

Jazzy Babies

This 45-minute class is fun and exciting each and every week for our little dancers. JAZZY BABIES involves the basic jazz dance introduction for our little ones involving lots of fun equipment, ribbons, pom poms, shakers and lots more making it alot of fun and introducing them to rhythm and sound as well as jazz dance.

Kindy Jazz & Tap

Our little groovers will love this 1 hour class. Half an hour of jazz dance incorporating the basics of the jazz syllabus and half an hour of Tap dancing. We follow the BDA tap syllabus teaching our dancers the beginner level of tap. This class is alot of fun allowing our dancers to incorporate both styles of dance in one class. Dancers will also participate in our end of year concert.

Fairy Ballet & Jazz

Every little girls dream is to become a ballerina, this class focusses on our little fairies learning the basic fundamentals of the BDA ballet syllabus. Fairy wings and ribbons will also be incorporated to make this class fun and allow girls to be creative and imaginative. The second part of the class allows girls to move and groove to the coolest kiddies music, learning the jazz style of dance.
